Vegas and bust — “So we die”

03/15/2014 By Ellen Beals 2 Comments

I’ve been remiss on my blog duties because I’ve been busy losing money. Here are my pics from Vegas; I didn’t take many and I only used my I-phone.

These pics tell my latest story.

Well, actually no, it is isn’t my latest. While I was away, my short story “So we die” came out in the latest issue (#11) of Cobalt. Here’s the link to the website. Then click on issue 11–it’s a downloadable pdf.  As you’ll see, it was short-listed for the 2013 fiction prize but wasn’t the final choice. If you read it, I’ll feel like a winner.

Peace, love, and solace

I read the story this morning, Ellen. And I really really liked it. You nailed my own personal themes of time and loss and, perhaps, trying to live in the moment.

Thanks Susan. I appreciate that you read and that it meant something to you — you fulfilled my intention!
