Weighed Words will be selling Solace in So Many Words at the Printers Row Lit Fest which is this weekend, June 9 and 10, from 10 until 6 each day. You can get all the details of events and readings at the Chicago Tribune’s site. The Lit Fest takes place on Dearborn Street from Congress to Polk Street, in the historic Printer’s Row. Look for us in TENT L, which is in the middle of the action, near Grace Place Episcopal Church at 637 Dearborn.
Sponsored by the Chicago Tribune, the Printers Row Lit Fest includes a bookfair of booksellers, publishers, literacy and cultural organizations that sell and promote books and book-related merchandise as well as panels and events that are held on seven stages. Admission to all Fest events is free and available on a first-come, first-served basis. Certain events will require tickets.
Weighed Words is lucky to have a spot in the Chicago Publishes’ tent, (TENT L) where you will also find these local publishers: RCP Publications, BAC Street Journal, Academy Chicago, Anobium, Kenning Editions, Chicago Quarterly Review, The Handshake, Journal of Ordinary Thought, Dancing Girl Press, City Files, Quest Book, Faithday Press, Thompson Stamp Art, I Shoot Rock stars, and Damask Press.
In addition to showcasing local authors and publishers, the Fest will feature talks by well-known figures such as Rachel Ray, Dan Rather, Sarah Paretsky, and Barbara Bradford Taylor, as well as panels for literary organizations and book publishers from all over the country.
