Four years ago Solace in So Many Words was launched. As expected, sales have tapered off, but I still frequently hear from people that the book has helped them. Maybe they consulted it when a loved one died or turned to it on a night when they need some consolation. This makes me feel good for it is the reason I created the book.
We have mourned the death of a few of the 52 contributors and we celebrate the great work continuing to be done by the others.
The web site has featured the work of a dozen visual artists and published the written work of many more. I have gone from being a shy blogger to looking forward to posting here, and my photography skills have improved. Last month we had more than 700 “hits.”
Thank you to everyone who has bought the book, visited the site, and supported this undertaking. It’s not over yet – keep reading, keep writing and creating, and keep sending me your work (weighedwords at gmail.com).
Thanks, thanks, thanks.
Peace, love, and solace
