Just got word that two contributors to Solace in So Many Words have new publications out.
Donna Hilbert’s The Congress of Luminous Bodies is now available on Amazon. You could be one of the first to order and review this book. If you know Donna’s poetry, you know this book will be terrific. Published by Aortic Press, The Congress of Luminous Bodies has a foreword by poet Tamara Madison and here’s is an excerpt: “The title of this volume embodies the playful, joyful and profound tone that pervades Donna’s work. How marvelous to be party to a congress of luminous bodies! The poems in this book testify to the skill of an accomplished poet whose job is to turn the experiences of everyday life – its minutiae, disappointments, tragedies and frivolities equally – into art. At turns serious, acerbic, or comical, Donna’s poems are accessible without losing a sense of mystery.”
Available for pre-order is Jan Bottiglieri’s new chapbook from Finishing Line Press, which is titled Where Gravity Pools the Sugar. In her email to me Jan describes the chapbook: “The 26 poems in this collection are largely about my family — those I’ve lost and those still near me. Some are about navigating loss, some about growing up, some about strange happinesses. One is about getting a beer can thrown at my head at a Cubs game. I hope you’ll want to read them!” Pre-orders are important in determining press run so I hope you order one today.
Thanks so much for the mention, Ellen!
