I didn’t know exactly what to post here when Laura Rodley sent me these photographs. Like Laura, I notice things in the snow and ice. So I share two of my photos too.
Laura Rodley is a writer whose poetry and photos have appeared here many times. Her poem “Resurrection” was awarded a Pushcart Prize and appears in Pushcart Edition XXXVII; it originally appeared on The NewVerseNews. The NewVerseNews describes itself as presenting “politically progressive poetry on current events and topical issues.” Just the other day, Laura had another poem appear there–“The Day the Polka Cried.”
Laura is also a features writer and photographer for Country Folks, Country Grower, Mane Stream, and other publications.
Some of her recent features include “The New Farmers” and “Stoneman Brewery.”
Her creative writing has appeared in Boston Literary Magazine, Best Indie Lit New England, Massachusetts Review, and Hunger Mountain, among others.
She is editor and publisher of As You Write It, A Franklin County Anthology, a compilation of memoirs from seniors age 70 through 95.
Former co-curator of the Collected Poets Series, she also teaches creative writing.
Laura has two chapbooks from Finishing Line Press: Rappelling Blue Light and Your Left Front Wheel Is Coming Loose.
Thanks Laura Rodley for letting me share your photographs.
