I am not a business person, or at least I wasn't until I started Weighed Words. So it's kind of funny that I wanted to come up with a model for publishing that was different than the ones I was used to. Lit mags don't usually pay unless you win a contest. Gatsby Books in Long Beach–sublime!
Our trip to Long Beach was a definite success and a blast to boot. The reading at Gatsby Books went well as we suspected it would since Sean Moor, who owns Gatsby Books, and Alisha Attell, who coordinates the events there, were so enthusiastic about our coming to read there.
