Congrats to Laura Rodley<\/strong>. She has two new poetry books out this spring.<\/p>\n

\"Adobe<\/a>Counter Point<\/strong><\/em> by Prolific Press<\/strong><\/a> came out March 22. I had the pleasure of reading it (and blurbing it). It\u2019s a pirate tale, which will\u00a0 “transport you to the North Atlantic in the early 1700s. Novelistic in scope, Counter Point<\/em><\/strong> uses scene, dialogue, and action-driven narrative. And like any good novel, this book introduces an unforgettable character, Marie,<\/strong> an ordinary girl . . .\u00a0 who learns to navigate the world with extraordinary fortitude.”<\/p>\n

Also coming out recently is Turn Left at Normal<\/em> <\/strong>by Big Table Publishing<\/strong><\/a>. There is a double duty reading<\/strong> on April 15<\/strong> at the Gill Montague Senior Center on 5th St in Turners Falls, MA,<\/strong> at 1 p.m. The reading is free, and wheelchair accessible.<\/p>\n

Laura Rodley<\/strong> has graciously let me feature her work often on this site. In addition to her photography and poetry, she writes feature articles for several publications, including Country Folks<\/a><\/strong><\/em>, CF Grower<\/em><\/strong><\/a>, Wine and Craft Beverage News<\/a><\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

She also frequently contributes poems to The New Verse News<\/strong><\/em>. Her latest (February 11) is \u201cDay Runners.”<\/strong><\/a> \u00a0 Her poem \u201cResurrection\u201d<\/a><\/strong> which appeared there\u00a0 in 2011 was awarded a Pushcart Prize<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
