I thought instead I\u2019d tell you about two recent books by Solace in So Many Words<\/strong><\/em> contributors.<\/p>\n

Published recently by the University of Arizona Press<\/strong> is Kafka in a Skirt by Daniel Chac\u00f3n, Stories from the Wall<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0<\/a>It comes recommended<\/a>.\"\"<\/p>\n

Recently released from Simon & Schuster is Dancing Hands -How Teresa Carre\u00f1o Played the Piano for President Lincoln<\/strong><\/em> by Margarita Engle<\/strong> (illustrated by Rafael L\u00f3pez<\/strong>)<\/a>. It’s their second collaboration, and it is winning awards<\/a>. \"\"<\/p>\n

I have an old story in a new publication that comes as an app and digital magazine; it is called Fresh Ink<\/strong><\/em><\/a>\u2014here is the link to my short story \u201cDear Robert James Waller.\u201d<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

Twitter gets a bad rap often (and often deserves it) but sometimes I make a positive connection there. Such was the case with Hope Dellon<\/strong><\/a>; we tweeted and retweeted each other, messaged on occasion. We were friendly. So I was sad to hear she died, and I feel a genuine loss. My heart goes out to her family and friends, who include Louise Penny<\/strong> and Kathleen Rooney<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The photographs accompanying this post are taken with my new camera, which I am slowly learning how to use.<\/p>\n
