Today is also the beginning of National Poetry Month<\/strong>. I hope to share some poems later this month. In the meantime you can check out the Academy of American Poets<\/strong><\/a> to see ways you can celebrate poetry.<\/p>\n

It was back in early February when Massachusetts poet and journalist Laura Rodley<\/strong> sent me some photos. The one that spoke to me then is the one featured below (Tiny Little Houses in Gypsum, Colorado, as seen from the California Zephyr \u00a9 Laura Rodley, 2019).<\/p>\n

Today it seems even more so to capture how I\u2019m feeling these days, like there is something big as a mountain looming. And there is, but we\u2019ll get through it.<\/p>\n

Yesterday a book came out that I want you all to know about. It\u2019s Valentine<\/strong><\/em><\/a> by my friend Elizabeth Wetmore<\/strong>. The reviews are all raves. That\u2019s because it is a terrific book, and Beth spent years of hard work writing it. Give it some love!\"\"<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t imagine it is ideal to launch a book during a pandemic so I\u2019m glad the book is getting attention. Jenna Bush Hager<\/strong> picked it for her April selection on the Today<\/strong> show<\/a>.<\/p>\n

And, Ron Charles<\/strong> had a great review today in Washington Post<\/em> <\/strong>(Elizabeth Wetmore\u2019s \u2018Valentine\u2019 is a thrilling debut that deserves your attention\u201d<\/a>).<\/p>\n
