This site has been on hiatus for months now. I\u2019ve been uninspired to post and uninspired in general. But I\u2019m hoping to start again, especially as April is Poetry Month. Also, this year marks the ten-year anniversary of <em><strong>Solace in So Many Words<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>By submitting this photo, <strong>Laura Rodley<\/strong> provided the gentle nudge I needed. The two most recent books by <strong>Laura <\/strong>are <em><strong>Counter Point<\/strong><\/em> (<strong>Prolific Press<\/strong>) and <em><strong>Turn Left at Normal (<\/strong><\/em><strong>Big Table Publishing<\/strong>).<\/p>\n<p>In 2013, she was awarded a <strong>Pushcart Prize<\/strong> for her poem <a href=\"https:\/\/newversenews.blogspot.com\/2011\/04\/resurrection.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&#8220;<strong>Resurrection&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> which appeared in the <em><strong>New Verse News<\/strong><\/em>. In 2020, <em><strong>New Verse News<\/strong> <\/em>published her poem (<a href=\"https:\/\/newversenews.blogspot.com\/2020\/07\/power-outage.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u201cPower Outage\u201d<\/strong><\/a>) about the pandemic. She also has two poems in <em><strong>The Galway Review<\/strong><\/em> (<a href=\"https:\/\/thegalwayreview.com\/2020\/11\/20\/laura-rodley-two-poems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>\u201cFlashpoint\u201d and \u201cBad Mood\u201d<\/strong><\/a>) and her poem <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bigtablepublishing.com\/post\/december-2020\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>&#8220;Splicing&#8221;<\/strong><\/a> appears in the <em><strong>Boston Literary Magazine<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Thanks Laura!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Why, Hello!
