Kanter<\/strong> (&#8220;Her Best Medicine,&#8221; &#8220;Alternative Eulogy,&#8221; &#8220;The Advanced Course&#8221;).<\/p>\n<p>I was lucky enough to meet with <em>Roberta Rubin<\/em>, owner of <strong><a title=\"The Book Stall \" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebookstall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Book Stall<\/a> <\/strong>(and friend to books, readers and small presses) and I just so happened to have a copy of <em>Solace in So Many Words<\/em> to show her.<\/p>\n<p>So, we have a new reading event <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><em><strong>April 10, Tuesday night, 7:30 pm <\/strong><\/em><\/span>at The Book Stall at Chestnut Court, 566 Chestnut Street, Winnetka to celebrate the poetry (and more) in <em>Solace in So Many Words<\/em>. \u00a0<strong>Carol Kanter<\/strong>, <strong>Pamela Miller<\/strong>, <strong>Joan Corwin<\/strong>, <strong>Teresa S. Mathes, D. J. Lachance<\/strong> and <strong>J. Scott Smith<\/strong> have already signed on as readers. \u00a0To make it more of a celebration of poetry, \u00a0I am going to ask them to read, in addition to their own work, a poem from the book. \u00a0Did you know there are more than 50 poems in <em>Solace in So Many Words<\/em>?<\/p>\n<p>Oh, BTW, if you can&#8217;t make it to the reading at <strong><a title=\"The Book Stall at Chestnut Court\" href=\"http:\/\/www.thebookstall.com\/\" target=\"_blank\">The Book Stall<\/a><\/strong> but would like to purchase a copy of <em>Solace in So Many Words<\/em> at that store, <strong>The Book Stall now has copies <\/strong>on hand for sale. <strong>Yes, you can buy copies there now!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thebookstall.com\/images\/bookstall.gif\" alt=\"\" width=\"288\" height=\"148\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I went to a reading of &#8220;A Light Breakfast&#8221; a unique collection that is edited by Arlyn Miller and features a sackful of great poems \u00a0including ones by Solace in So Many Words contributor\u00a0Carol N.
