It is from the \u201cFogs and Fires\u201d section of his <em><strong>Chicago Poems<\/strong><\/em>.\u00a0 Like much of Carl Sandburg\u2019s works, this poem is in the public domain. There\u2019s lot of his work available on the Internet; I got this from <a title=\"Carl Sandburg Chicago Poems website\" href=\"http:\/\/carl-sandburg.com\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\">a site<\/a> devoted to of all his poems from this book. At the site for the <a title=\"Academy of American Poets \" href=\"http:\/\/www.poets.org\/viewmedia.php\/prmMID\/22280\" target=\"_blank\">Academy of American Poets<\/a>, you can find more by Carl Sandburg. And if you\u2019re a Chicagoan, particularly a Northsider, it is easy to imagine yourself walking in his steps for <strong>4646 N. Hermitage<\/strong> is the home where he wrote his Chicago poems.
