I know I am old because time is passing more quickly, and not just because it\u2019s summer.<\/p>\n<p>When I published <em><strong>Solace in So Many Words <\/strong><\/em>I made a decision not to include work that was overtly religious. There were several reasons for that.<\/p>\n<p>But I know that God and religion and faith and prayer are all-important sources of solace for many people.<\/p>\n<p>So today\u2019s posts reflect that.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Laura Rodley\u2019s<\/strong> poem <strong>&#8220;Meeting the Father&#8221;<\/strong> in the<a title=\"Meeting the Father by Laura Rodley (Guest Post)\" href=\"https:\/\/solaceinabook.com\/site\/2014\/07\/guest-post-laura-rodley-meeting-the-father\/\" target=\"_blank\"> <strong>Guest Post<\/strong><\/a> talks about someone whose has devoted her life to God.<\/p>\n<p>For<strong> <a title=\"Glimpse fo Solace Kevin Nance Saint James Cathedral\" href=\"https:\/\/solaceinabook.com\/site\/2014\/07\/glimpse-of-solace-kevin-nance-st-james-cathedral\/\" target=\"_blank\">Glimpse of Solace<\/a>,<\/strong> we have photos by <strong>Kevin Nance<\/strong>; they&#8217;re photos he has taken of the art, architecture, and people of his place of worship, <strong>St. James Cathedral in Chicago<\/strong>. He has said this place is one of great solace for him. I think you\u2019ll agree that this comes across in his photos.<\/p>\n<p>These photos (and more) are currently featured in the exhibit <strong><a title=\"How Lovely Is Our Dwelling Place photo exhibit by Kevin Nance\" href=\"http:\/\/www.saintjamescathedral.org\/outreach-and-missions\/arts-and-music\/how-lovely-is-thy-dwelling-place\/\" target=\"_blank\">How Lovely Is Thy Dwelling Place.<\/a> <\/strong> It is at the <strong>Kyle&#8217;s Place Gallery<\/strong> at the <strong>St. James Commons<\/strong> (as well in in the Cathedral nave); the address is <strong>65 E. Huron, Chicago<\/strong>. The exhibit is open weekdays from 8:30 to 5:30 and 9:00 am to 1:00 pm on Saturday and Sunday.
