Congratulations to Patty Somlo<\/strong>!\u00a0 She will have a new book of stories out in the coming year. Hairway to Heaven <\/strong><\/em>will be published by Cherry Castle Publishing<\/strong><\/a> in 2015.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Michael Constantine McConnell\u2019s<\/strong> poem \u201cA Faun\u2019s Lament\u201d<\/strong> appears in a new anthology, The Best of Electric Velocipede<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Donna Hilbert\u2019s<\/strong> poem \u201cThe Sun Straight Up”<\/strong> was posted November 10 on the Cadence Collective<\/strong><\/a> site.<\/p>\n

I haven\u2019t had any literary acceptances lately but have had more luck with my photographs. Two (\u201cShoo\u201d and \u201cBounty\u201d) appear in the latest issue of the digital magazine Control <\/strong><\/em><\/a>literary magazine.<\/p>\n

Earlier in 2014 my photo \u201cCold Heart\u201d appeared on the cover of Vine Leaves Literary Journal<\/strong><\/em>. I am happy to say that the photo was also chosen to be in the annual print anthology, The Best of Vine Leaves, 2014<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.\u00a0 This will be the first time I see one of my photos actually in print.\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

My friend Kent McDaniel <\/strong>is a writer, musician, and singer songwriter. In one of this latest posts he shares an original song , something he refers to as “Blues for the Idealist” and I think it is rather solace-y. The song is titled “May You Still Believe”<\/strong><\/em> and you can listen to it at Kent’s site, Dumbfounding Stories<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n
