Good morning and happy July — rabbit, rabbit, rabbit.\u00a0 I’ve been working on something, but it isn’t finished yet. So I’ll tell you what I’ve been reading.<\/p>\n

“The Fugitive,”<\/strong><\/a> which is T. C. Boyle’s<\/strong> story in the latest issue (July 4) issue of The New Yorker<\/em><\/strong>, and there’s also a discussion with him on the ethics of disease in the Page-Turner column <\/a>on the web.<\/p>\n

Ellen Bass<\/strong> has a poem (“The World Has Need of You”<\/strong>)\u00a0 on June 25 The Writer’s Almanac<\/a><\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n

Donna Hilbert<\/strong> has a poem (“Neighbors”<\/strong>) you should read — it’s on Verse-Virtual<\/strong><\/em><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Don’t forget about Kathleen Kirk’s blog<\/strong> (Wait! I Have a Blog?!<\/a>) where she covers reading, writing, and related subjects (such as links to her latest publications, like this poem (“Crabapple Blooming”<\/strong>)\u00a0 in Poetry Porch<\/strong><\/em><\/a>). Also, Kathleen is the poetry editor for Escape into Life<\/strong><\/em><\/a> and there’s always good stuff there.<\/p>\n

This week brought me some news I didn’t like to hear about the health of friends.\u00a0 My good thoughts go out to anyone struggling. I can’t always articulate how I feel.\u00a0 I was able to do some photography experiments and share two abstracts with you below.<\/p>\n

I’ll be taking a few days off.\u00a0 Peace, love, and solace<\/strong><\/p>\n
