Here\u2019s some stuff I found interesting these past weeks.<\/p>\n

For Mockingbird<\/em><\/strong>,<\/a> June 2, Sarah Condon<\/strong> wrote \u201cSelf-Righteousness at Home in the Twenty-First Century\u201d<\/strong> <\/a>and it has stayed on my mind. The subject matter is pertinent (\u201cBecause\u00a0self-righteousness cuts a clear path to dinner with Satan, party of\u00a02.\u201d) and as you can see, the writing amuses.\u00a0 This was the first I’d read of\u00a0 Sarah Condon<\/strong> but it turns out she has written a book, Churchy<\/strong><\/em><\/a>, which I might have to check out.\"Churchy\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After the elections in the UK, Manchester poet Tony Walsh<\/strong> (also known as Longfella<\/strong>) responded with this poem “Net Worked,”<\/strong><\/a> which I found pretty amazing. The video is less than two minutes long so it’s not a big time commitment.<\/p>\n

Are you a crossword enthusiast? The Indie 500 crossword tournament<\/strong><\/a> has already taken place but you can purchase the pack of puzzles. Info is here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"LillianCover\"<\/a>I am looking forward to reading Lillian Boxfish Takes a Walk,<\/strong><\/em> which I just purchased at the recent reading by Kathleen Rooney<\/strong><\/a> at the Irish American Heritage Center<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’ve mentioned before how I enjoy the work by photographer Kevin Nance<\/strong><\/a>. When he posts some of his abstract work, he categorizes it as \u201cimaginary landscapes.\u201d<\/strong> I\u2019ve been experimenting with my camera and came up with an imaginary mapscape (and a seascape) which I share below.<\/p>\n
