Saturday it poured on and off all day, but we didn\u2019t let that stop is from enjoying Open House Chicago<\/strong><\/a>, which is put on by the Chicago Architecture Foundation<\/strong><\/a>. We also made a side trip to Taurus Flavors<\/strong><\/a>, a restaurant that features the sweet steak sandwich touted by Ernest Wilkins<\/strong> in his article “The sweet steak sandwich should be a Chicago food icon”<\/a>\u00a0 in the Chicago Reader.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Here was our itinerary.<\/p>\n

First stop was Aloft Circus Lofts<\/strong><\/a>. Second stop was Old Chicago Inn,<\/strong><\/a> featuring Room 13.<\/p>\n

Then we took our side trip and had a sweet steak sandwich at Taurus Flavors<\/strong> (it was tasty) before we visited Stony Island Arts Bank<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

From there we went to Decorators Supply Corporation<\/strong><\/a>. Then we visited Ling Shen Ching Tze Buddhist Temple<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

Our last stop was for coffee, snacks, and a tour of Fieldhouse Jones<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n

I’m already thinking about Open Chicago 2018.<\/p>\n
