\"Peek-a-boo<\/a>I can\u2019t let January end without posting. It\u2019s been a tough month for some, what with the flu, the current news, and the fact that there were five Monday mornings to wake up to in January.<\/p>\n

Tonight three lunar events take place: a blood moon, a super moon, and a blue moon, giving us a Super Blue Blood Moon<\/strong>. Unfortunately Chicago is not well-placed<\/a> to witness this rare event.\u00a0 But I’m hoping the moon will still have its positive effect on us!<\/p>\n

I\u2019ve been hibernating. I know a lot of people are \u2013 it\u2019s a way of coping with the harsh world environment. But the days are getting longer. February is only days away. If you\u2019ve been stumped creatively, stymied by whatever, laid low by January, I am hoping that February is when your ideas come home to roost.<\/p>\n

In my effort to share public domain poetry, I present this fine short poem by Stephen Crane<\/strong><\/a>. And to fill space, I\u2019ve posted some of my bird pics. None are flying away like little thoughts. The birds are perched. Let\u2019s all get our ideas on paper.<\/p>\n

Once, I knew a fine song,
\n\u2014It is true, believe me,\u2014
\nIt was all of birds,
\nAnd I held them in a basket;
\nWhen I opened the wicket,
\nHeavens! They all flew away.
\nI cried, \u201cCome back, little thoughts!\u201d
\nBut they only laughed.
\nThey flew on
\nUntil they were as sand
\nThrown between me and the sky.<\/p>\n
