Tuned-in to solace — Ben Merens on Wisconsin Public Radio

08/02/2011 By Ellen Beals Leave a Comment

Ben Merens of Wisconsin Public Radio

On Friday, July 29, from 5 to 6 pm CT, I had the privilege of speaking with Ben Merens on his “At Issue” show.  What a great experience!  On the top of the list of great things was getting to meet Ben who was cordial, kind and full of interesting stories that he shared on and off the air.  You won’t have to listen too long to this interview to realize that Ben is someone who thinks deeply about life and appreciates it.  Along with callers, Ben and I discussed the topic of solace, how to find, why we need it.  Of course I left the studio thinking of all the things I should have said and everything that wasn’t mentioned.  But if anything, that proved to me again that solace is a worthy topic, one that is expansive and relevant.
