This past weekend I went to a memorial service and I’m inspired to share something with you.
You may be familiar with it since it was featured on NPR in June of 2005, but it was new to me – it is “Eulogy from a Physicist” by Aaron Freeman.
Aaron Freeman lives in the Chicago area; I’ve known of him through his comedy and journalism. But I guess he is also a physicist.
You may also want to check out “My Inner Particle” by Aaron Freeman, which appeared in Symmetry Magazine.
Thank you to Aaron Freeman for helping me to see death and life in a new way.
Peace, love, and solace
“And at one point you’d hope that the physicist would step down from the pulpit and walk to your brokenhearted spouse there in the pew and tell him that all the photons that ever bounced off your face, all the particles whose paths were interrupted by your smile, by the touch of your hair, hundreds of trillions of particles, have raced off like children, their ways forever changed by you.” Aaron Freeman

I remember meeting him at a party you had at Southport Saloon. You were taking improv classes then. Love you!
