Here’s where my literary curiosity has taken me lately. First, I’ve been reading some of the Lord Peter Whimsey books Dorothy L. Sayers.  They’re like delicious candy but then amongst the sweet something sour and bitter surfaces, and that is the racial and religious epithets used in those days (1920s and 1930s).  In one way I think it’s great we don’t use those words any more, but then I remember the Redskins. Pizza, Papercuts, and Weiwei

Last week The Chicagoist published "The 20 Best Pizzas in the Chicago Area." When I posted the link on FB, it got more “likes” than a lot of my posts.  Wednesday I went with two of my sisters to try a place on the list. It’s Flo & Santos, 1310 S. Wabash.  The Chicagoist was right, the pizza was good. We all wanted different ingredients on our pizza so we ordered the lunch special, which was an individual one-topping pizza and side salad. Falling

Today at 9:29 pm is the Autumnal Equinox so I thought I'd share my poem.
