We have been busy planning new events.  Mark your calendars! On Monday, December 5 at 7 pm, Evanston contributors Joan Corwin, Paula W. Peterson, Carol Kanter, Pat Rahmann, and Susan Spaeth Cherry will be featured readers at Evanston Public Library, 1703 Orrington Avenue, Evanston.  Joining them will be Pamela Miller, D. J. There's a great article on Philip Levine ("Songs," "Waking in Alicante"), our new U.S. Poet Laureate, titled "A Poet Laureate from the Proletariat: An Appreciation of Philip Levine" written by Bill Morris in The Millions. I can't believe it's late September already.  I love Fall and want to make it last. Already there is less than week left of September. E. As I write this I am thinking of Brent Calderwood -- tonight is his big night. Brent's poem, "The Golden Hour," has been selected by judge Mark Doty as winner of the Atlanta Queer Lit Broadside Contest. The big news is there is  another reading event  for Solace in So Many Words-- it will be July 21, Thursday, at 7 pm at The BookMarket, 2651 Navy Blvd, Glen Town Center, Glenview (phone: 847-904-7304).  Contributors who will be reading include: Joan Corwin, J.
