Hey there! Let the good times roll! It’s Fat Tuesday. I’m making gumbo and I bought a king cake so we’ll have a little Mardi Gras celebration tonight. Tomorrow is Ash Wednesday. I won’t get ashes. I’m not a practicing Catholic. I do like some of the rituals and practices though. Hey there sports fans. If you are into baseball, I‘ve got to think you’re mourning the death of the great Ernie Banks, #14. His face as a rookie ballplayer, which graced the front pages of the papers in Chicago, is something to behold: there’s a purity there not seen often. It shines through. Beautiful.
