This weekend I went to my chain supermarket (Jewel) and spent a good deal of time in the produce department staring at something. I didn’t know what it was but I got out my phone to take pictures. June moon meant for strawberries and kissing
Yesterday, June 2, a full moon shone. According to the The Old Farmer’s Almanac, June's full moon is the Full Strawberry Moon and got this name because the Algonquin tribes knew it as a signal to gather ripening fruit. It was often known as the Full Rose Moon in Europe (where strawberries aren't native). Celebrating Solace in so many years
Four years ago Solace in So Many Words was launched. As expected, sales have tapered off, but I still frequently hear from people that the book has helped them. Maybe they consulted it when a loved one died or turned to it on a night when they need some consolation. This makes me feel good for it is the reason I created the book. Howdy-do friends. May tomorrow! May tomorrow bring you happiness. Solace in So Many Words has many fine contributors but not many have made the best-seller list yet, that is, except for T. C. Boyle.
