End of the world as we know it . . .
Today I am here, which is against the Mayans' predictions, and today there is no snow on the ground in Glenview, which was not what the forecasts predicted. A week has passed since the devastating event in Newton, CT, and an hour or so ago, the National Rifle Association held its first press conference since the tragedy. Pop-Up Fun
After participating in the Pop-Up Bookfair at The Empty Bottle last Sunday, I think all bookfairs should be at a bar. It was great fun--the patrons and sellers got mellower as the music amped up. To my right were Gina Frangello and Leah Tallon representing Other Voices Books. Solace in the alley
This beauty of a decoration is from my bowling partners. We bowled Saturday night and also had our league Christmas party, and for years now we have exchanged gifts. This year we received this gorgeous present and it fits the theme since our team name is da Bears.
