Today Solace in So Many Words is one year old. In addition to commemorating that milestone, we also have a new reason to celebrate. Congrats to Philip Levine, our new Poet Laureate
The big news in poetry is that Philip Levine is the new U.S. Poet Laureate so we want to wish him congratulations! Cookies
One question that has gone to the back burner of my mind but is still simmering is: Who left the cookies? On July 4 a paper plate of chocolate chip cookies wrapped in plastic was left between my front doors. No one in the household could tell me who left them. No one had seen a car back out of the drive or a neighbor scamper away. I wrote my number one suspect an email but she was downed by sciatica, unable to bake or scamper. The cookies sat on the table.
