April showers today; I love the rumble. Here are some updates about the artists whose work has been featured on Glimpse of Solace Daniel Cleary is going to have a show "In Exhibition: Daniel Cleary, new and selected paintings" starting tomorrow April 10  at the Uptown Arts Center, 941 W. Guest Post: Laura Rodley “To Be a Horse”

This essay by Massachusetts writer Laura Rodley gives us an image and rides with it.  Reading it makes me think of all the horses in literature and the horse books by Marguerite Henry. "Keep your sunny side up, up!" ("Hide the side that gets blue"). I write this to myself as well as to you. No whining. I’ve been watching Foyle’s War on Netflix and really enjoying it. It very rarely hits the wrong note; I’ve watched two seasons and only had some quibbles with the series. “One More Thing,” this wonderful poem by Lesléa Newman, seemed to me to segue very well from the last guest post, “Smoking” by Laura Rodley.
